Unless, that is, you’re one of the rare individuals who are invited to matriculate at the premier college for Magic and the Arcane Arts in the United States: Hannigan’s Academy.
Four years of blood, sweat and tears and the occasional curse after you first stepped into Hannigan’s, and you’ve earned a drink or eight. It’s the night before graduation, and you’ve gravitated to the best bar on campus. One final night before you return to the ‘real world’ – one last night to learn something new, teach some lessons and settle some scores. What unfinished business do you have?
Hannigan’s is a parlour LARP for approximately 30 people that will be run on the 5th of May 2019 at the London Welsh Centre from approximately 2pm to 8:30pm. This is a high social PvP/CvC game with little to no combat, focusing on themes of interpersonal drama and coming of age, taking inspiration from classic high school movies, along with shows and books such as The Magicians, Riverdale, Teen Wolf and Gossip Girl.
In this game you will play the graduating class of an American college of magic (most characters are therefore roughly 21 years old – university graduation age). The characters in this game are pre-generated by the game team, and you will be given your brief with some links to other characters before the game. You will also be provided with a list of goals your character has for the duration of the game – the five things they’ve promised themselves they’ll do before graduating. You will have roughly six hours to act as your characters and complete as many of their goals as you can.
